Technology Integration Workshop Events with SMART Technologies, now covering SMART Notebook 11.
Day 1 - Topics include: educational philosophies in technology integrations, basic hardware understanding, using SMART Notebook, enhancing SMART Notebook, and teaching with SMART technologies. - Letters A-D
Day 2 - Topics include: media resources encompassing: the internet, other capturing hardware/software, the Gallery, effective use of graphics, and effective classroom integration. - Letters D-G
Day 3 - Topics include: classroom specific examples, using Notebook's features of integrating resources, creating a electronic/paperless file saving system. - Letters H-J
Day 4 - Topics include: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) in conjunction with SMART Notebook, packaging a lesson with linking and sound, and educator continued product development. - Letters I,K-O
Day 5 - Topics include: SMART Video player and SMART Recorder features, SMART IdeasTM (concept mapping software), and other educational software. - Letters P-S
It is recommended that an event be a minimum of 3 Days. It is also required that each event start with Day 1. Class size for any event is limited to 18 educators. After the first day of your event, new participants should not be added to the event. There also must be a teacher to board ratio of 3 to 1 with all the boards located on the same floor of your building (prefer a common room). Lunch should also be provided for all the event's participants establishing a working-lunch environment for the event.
SMART Notebook 11 Updates and Refresher Day Course
With the new advancements of SMART Notebook 11, one can definitely be overwhelmed by many of the new displays, features, and hidden extras. This event is a one day event designed to fill in those blanks. Although it would be best if participants of this event have gone through the entire 5-day workshop listed above, previous participation in the first 3 days is required.

Administrator Day Event (Focusing on SMART Technologies)
This one day event is a very focused, concise, and customized event for your district's administrators. Topics vary based on your needs and goals. Some previously customized events have included: Introduction to SMART Board/SMART Notebook, Administrator Show Case, Evaluation of classroom lessons using technology, Hardware Accessories/Software Installation, and Strategic Planning.

Lesson Creation/Content Sharing Event (Focusing on SMART Technologies)
Although it would be best if participants of this event have gone through the entire 5-day workshop listed above, previous participation in the first 3 days is required.
This day is designed for classroom teachers to share their content and develop new content using technology to enhance student engagement and achievement. Traditionally, this is a one-two day event depending on the number of participants. Teachers, will be expected to bring electronic files/lessons to evaluate, discuss, share, modify, and then integrate. Additional topics could also include SMART Response, other SMART hardware, and forming user groups.

iPads in Education
This event is split into two focuses administrator and staff use of iPads and student use of iPads. Proper techniques of evaluating Apps before purchase will be discussed. Management, distribution, and facilitation of iPads are also part of the many lists of topics possible for this event. This event will be customized to your district needs.

Microsoft word and excel (including mail merge)
Microsoft Office Workshop Event
Day 1 - Topics include: Microsoft Word (desktop publishing, newsletters, and graphic design).
Day 2 - Topics include: Microsoft Excel and mail merge (tables, electronic grade book, graphs, contacting parents, and more).
These events are designed for all educators regardless of if they have a SMART BoardTM Interactive Whiteboard. They would be best conducted in a computer lab with each educator at their own computer. Class size for any event is limited to 15 educators. Each participant should have basic computing knowledge including how to save files, transfer files, and keyboarding skills.

Audacity (Podcasting Software) Workshop Event
Day 1 - Topics include: how to use Audacity to Podcast a classroom, use Audacity to create mp3 files, digitally convert other audio file to mp3 format, and use these files to interact with other software like SMART Notebook.
This event is designed for all educators regardless of if they have a SMART BoardTM Interactive Whiteboard. They would be best conducted in a computer lab with each educator at their own computer. Likewise each educator should have their own headset microphone. Class size for any event is limited to 15 educators. Each participant should have basic computing knowledge including how to save files, transfer files, and keyboarding skills.
